Stephen Leacock Museum National Historic Site Master Plan (2020)
With Reich + Petch Architects and Exhibit Designers, we developed a 10-year Master Plan for this iconic historic site in Orillia, Ontario. The team also involved Fisher Hospitality Group who reviewed the food service aspects of the site. The Master Plan involved extensive consultation with the Orillia community as well as visitors to the site. The plan examined the buildings, exhibits, site access, programs and services and marketing aspects. It also contained a ‘post pandemic’ component to deal with the implementation of the plan in 2021 and beyond. The Master Plan was approved in September of 2020.
Mount Dennis (Toronto) Economic Development Strategy (2020)
TCI prepared an economic development strategy for this local area of western Toronto. The area had long been home to Kodak of Canada, a major employer, but had fallen on hard times with the closure of that industry. However, with the Mount Dennis area now becoming the western terminus of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT route, its economic fortunes are set to turn around. This plan capitalized upon this new development to take maximum advantage of these new possibilities.
Portsmouth Athenaeum Membership Survey (2019)
TCI was retained by this private member-based library in Portsmouth New Hampshire, to undertake a membership survey to determine what sorts of new services and programs might be offered to existing and potential new members. An excellent response rate of over 50% was achieved, and a number of new strategic opportunities identified. This formed the basis for thew organization’s new strategic plan.
Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) Integrated Strategic and Operational Plan (2020)
TABIA is the collective advocacy organization for some 80 individual BIAs in the City of Toronto. In association with 360 Collective retail consultants and Lonergan Consulting (human resource experts) TCI led the development of a strategic and operational plan for the next 10 years for TABIA. A key aspect of this plan was focused on the types of operations and services to be offered by the organization in the post-COVID environment. The plan was adopted in June of 2020.
