Team Members
Our study team brings together three of Canada’s most experienced cultural planners for the Three Rivers project.
Steven Thorne, BFA, MA: Based nearby in Moncton, Steven is one of Canada’s foremost cultural planners and Canada’s leading authority on cultural tourism. An Associate of TCI Management Consultants since 2008, Steven has 40-plus years’ experience working with arts and culture organizations in cultural development across Canada. With a previous firm, Burnett Thorne Cultural Tourism, he coordinated the planning and development of the PEI Arts & Heritage Trail, which included on-site
inventories of the cultural assets in Three Rivers. With his TCI colleagues Jon Linton and Greg Young - both members of this team - he developed the Arts and Culture Strategy for the City of Summerside. As a result of his Summerside work and his work for Tourism PEI, Steven knows the Island. He will act as the project’s Lead Consultant.
In addition to dozens of projects across Canada, Steven has also worked on the ‘other side of the table’: as the Arts Development Officer for the City of Kelowna, and as the Arts Development Manager for the City of Victoria. He was also the Executive Director of the Okanagan Cultural Corridor - a demonstration project in cultural tourism for Destination BC.
