TLOD Area IV supports the Elon Homes innovative program that helps young men who are ages 18-21 and
have lived in foster care at some point in their lives. The program supports these youth as they transition from
foster care to life as independent adults.
The Elon Homes Foster Care Village is located on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C.
It is the first residential facility for young men in the state and among the first in the U. S. since 2017. Area IV
has been a proud partner with Elon Homes & School for Children, as the Area IV Initiative.
