Founder and entertainer Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude in 1962 with the dream that “no child
should die in the dawn of life." St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood
cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family
should worry about is helping their child live.

In just 3 years, Top Teens of America across the country (sponsored by Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc), raised
over $98,000 for one of our community partnerships, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

On the 3rd Saturday of May 2016, 2017 and 2018, chapters walked, ran, skipped and hopped in support of the St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Walks were held in parks, riverfronts, city streets and some were moved in-
doors due to inclement weather, but through it all we supported the children of St Jude.
