Greetings,

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! For what, you ask? For coming out in
numbers to Parliamen-Top and making it a huge success.

Las Vegas was a draw, but the biggest draw was the "This Is How We Do It"
Workshops. Over 275 Ladies participated in the many workshops. Even though
we were at a casino, you were there through the whole conference and you partici-
pated. Hopefully, you left with a better understanding of what it takes to run your
chapter, what the roles, duties and responsibilities of officers and members are,
and with the realization that TLOD is a great organization and it belongs to ALL of us, not just a few.

Thanks to the many presenters who gave of their time, resources and talent to present the informative workshops.
Kudos to Lady Emily Jones, Leadership Development and Succession Planning Chairman, and her team for im-
plementing an enjoyable and informative learning experience. The workshops are being edited as I speak and the
first five will be uploaded on the Website in late November. They are: (1) All You Need to Know About Top
Teens; (2) Chapter Operations from A-Z; (3) Pointers for Chapter Presidents; (4) Financial Procedures; and (5)
Navigating the Website. There were a total of 15 workshops and the videographer will be editing them in groups
of five. All should be completed in early 2019. If you need to have the slides before then, please contact the pre-
senter. A listing of the workshops will be provided in my Parliamen-Top Update included in this edition of the
Scepter.

I also thank you for marshalling your forces in getting out the vote. This is an important election for us, as they all
are, but this is the first one that TLOD has been asked to play a major role and you all came through! We are con-
tinually making a difference in a big way!

Conference season is looming ahead and I look forward to seeing each of you at the conferences, especially those
that I could not attend last year. I thank you for all of the cards, calls, flowers, donations, etc. that you afforded
me and Lord Barry when he was sick and during his transition. You raised over $7,000 for the TTA Walk for St.
Jude through donations in memory of Lord Barry Woldman. He would have been overwhelmed with all of the
love and support, as was I. I feel very lucky to be a member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.

In addition to a great community service organization, we are a great sisterhood. Let us continue to lift up our
members as we pray for each other. Let us pray for health, love and prosperity as we treat each other with kind-
ness.
