The Prince George’s County TTA and their TTA Advisors
While much of the southeastern region of the country was faced with the wrath of Hurricane Florence, the Prince
George’s County Chapter of Top Teens of America welcomed 30 new teens to the chapter on September 15th amid
blue skies and mild temperatures.
The 2018 inductees gathered at Reid Temple A.M.E. Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland represented the largest
induction group in the chapter’s nine-year history. So it was only fitting that the record-breaking set of new Top
Teens enjoyed a special guest at the ceremony: TLOD National President Lady Drema Lee Woldman. Lady Drema
served as the featured speaker, sharing with Teens, parents, Top Ladies and guests the history of Top Teens of
America and its impact on the community. As in years past, TLOD founder Lady Ozell Dean was also in
attendance, and she prayed for the Teens. Miss Top Teen J’Anshea Shumate spoke to the inductees about what it
means to be a Top Teen.
The addition of the 30 new Teens brings the number of Prince George’s County Top Teens to 62.
