KIWI & CHIVE

These are my biological children. We started off with Kiwi the calico
(more commonly known as Kiwilona Junior - there was no senior
she is literally just Kiwilona Junior). About six months into having
her, we realized she needed a friend to spend the day with,
while my boyfriend and I were away at work. Then comes
our boy, Chive. They took to one another immediately.
They snuggle, play and even watch the sunset together.
Maybe in six more months we'll get a third!

The limit does not exist.

JACK After losing my 12-year-old dog, Willy, I wanted to honor

his memory and eventually open my home and heart to
another dog. One day, while scrolling on Facebook, I saw a
post by a local shelter about the “saddest” dogs in the
facility. I saw an 11-year-old black lab mix lying on his
bed without even looking up. I called the shelter to ask if
he was available, and he was.

I had planned on adopting an older dog because I was
used to calm, lazy dogs and thought a younger pup
would be too much. To my surprise, Jack is a furball of
energy and excitement like a puppy. At the beginning,
it wasn’t easy; he was not ready to be part of a family
and took some time to adjust and finally accept us.
With the help of a trainer, little by little, Jack made
himself at home and took us in as his forever family.
