FLUFFY
Although he’s officially in doggy heaven,
I couldn’t help but pay tribute and share
the story of our 17-year-old bichon frise,
Fluffy.
Fluffy was the light of the Gaitán family.
He came to us as a 3-month-old puppy (as
a surprise to my mom) and quickly won all
of us over with his spicy, yet lovable character.
He hated being on the grass (only liked walking
on the sidewalk), loved a toasted Gilda cracker
in the mornings, and demanded a treat every night
before going to bed. But despite all his daily demands,
he never failed to run to the door and wag his tail anytime
any of us would come home from work. There wasn’t a day
we didn’t laugh or feel his love –even in his own little spoiled way.

COSMO
Meeting, finding and loving my cat Cosmo came as a
surprise. I’ve never really liked cats or at least I kept
them at a distance since my sister had a very angry
cat and I was afraid of him, but life had other plans.
We rescued Cosmo from being killed on the
highway. At first, we thought we would only keep
him a few weeks as a foster home, but we grew
fond of him and his playful soul. I am so happy we
decided to keep him because every day Cosmo
brings me joy.
