CANNON POCKET MODULES
A highly versatile free space sub-module which adds
many advantageous benefits for facility managers.
The Cannon Pocket Module is a unique to Cannon, sub
module which is available in any Cannon Data centre
facility.
The Cannon Pocket Module provides a valuable space
allocation within any Rack Row. The standard pocket is
200 wide (8 inches) and extends the whole depth of the
Racks comprising the Row, typically 1000 or 1200 deep.

USAGE
The Cannon Pocket Module provides a range of
opportunities, for the installation of;
 Additional "Cannon Cool" Within Row cooling units,
for cooling upgrades.
 Patching space (vertically mounted patch panels).
 Secure, convenient storage lockers (front and rear
access), lockable.
 Monitoring equipment and instrumentation
installation.
 Sliding Aisle door systems for segregation of Data
Hall space (division)
 Fire suppression bottle storage (reducing pipe run
lengths and for adding capacity).
 Vertical support columns to support additional heavy
roof loads (avoiding Aisle obstruction).
 Security recorders, avoiding the use of IT Racks.
Cannon Pocket modules can be as frequent as desired
in any Cannon Data Centre Facility, if specified at
original build design and can add significantly to the all module than a traditional facility. These upgrades
round effectiveness of the Data Centre, resolving many
operating issues.

BEYOND THE AVERAGE
FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION
Since Cannon module deployments provide physical
isolation of groups of components, they have a
helpful inherent impact on fire containment. The
modularisation of data centres enables fire to be
more readily contained and reduces the potential
for fire spread and smoke damage. Modules have an
even greater ability than traditional data centres to
smother fire with all systems/vents shut and can
prevent or retard the spread of fire from a module
outward or from the outside inward. This isolation
may allow the module to be reused/refurbished in a
relatively short time period following a fire at the
site.

the use of pre-fabricated and pre-
installed modules.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND FUTURE PROOFING
The modular approach enables the use of pre-
fabricated and pre-engineered modules. The
process of pre-engineering, when applied
appropriately results in more efficient and
repeatable designs.
