VERAK IP ® Introduction 3 Introduction to VERAK IP ® VERAK IP is designed to meet the specific needs of the tel- ® ecommunications, networking, industrial and electronic appli- ® cations offering IP65 environmental protection. VERAK IP en- sures maximum protection against the ingress of dust and wa- ter. VERAK IP is a stand alone cabinet extremely robust. The ® steel frame thickness of 2 mm gives the exceptional strength and rigidity, with a static load capacity of 1000 Kg. The knife- blades that interact with the sealing of the panels to ensure max- imum IP sealing are an integral part of the vertical profiles. The doors, available in glass or metal option, are easily reversible (right or left opening) without interfering with the IP sealing. The unique design of the closing mechanism, which includes a seal wedge, ensures the integrity of sealing systems. A swing handle controls a 4-point locking system with central camshaft hold- ing the proper pressure on the seals. The gasket is subjected to a minimum compression that preserves the performance of the sealing system over time, due the repeated opening of the doors. This feature is particularly useful in environments where the cabinet is opened and inspected regularly for routine main- tenance. Optional rear 5U panels filtered or with forced ventila- tion, fitted above or below shortened rear door are designed to create an air flow inside the cabinet for dissipation of the heat generated by the installed equipment. In this case the IP pro- tection rate is downgraded to IP 54. VERAK IP can also be ® provided with a “pre-installed” side or top air conditioning unit with dissipation power rate starting from 500W up to 6/7 KW. ® VERAK IP modern soft–line design, slightly curved styling is equally at home in the office, the communications room or on the factory floor. Its two–tone grey color scheme is neutral, blending with most modern decors, making VERAK IP the ideal choice ® for both heavy industrial, electronics and telecoms applications.
