             USAGE



                   It rained heavily (reason). They cancelled the match (result)

              +) At the middle of a sentence:


                  Clause 1 (result), for + Clause 2 (reason)

             They cancelled the match, for it rained heavily.




                 Clause 1 (reason), so + Clause 2 (result)

             It rained heavily, so they cancelled the match.












             USAGE



                   It rained heavily (reason). They cancelled the match (result)

              +) At the beginning of the second sentence


                          Sen 1 (reason). As a result/ As a consequence/
                         Therefore/ Consequently, Sen 2 (result)


             It rained heavily. As a result, they cancelled the match.
