DEFINITION
Concessive Clause: is used to express an idea that
suggests the opposite of the main part of the sentence
USAGE
It rained heavily (concessive clause). I came to class (main clause)
a) At the beginning of the sentence:
Although/ Even though/ Though/ While/ Whereas + Clause 1
(concession), Clause 2
Although it rained heavily, I came to class.
