Jason and Sandra Noach have realised a long held vision of offering a mobile paintless dent repair solution that’s as environmentally responsible as they could make it. Sandra explained that the couple, origionally from Zimbabwe, moved to the UK. “ Jason loves PDR and living in the UK was great because they’ve just got it
down pat. We moved to Australia 13 years ago and decided that we wanted to bring the pod here and approached a shopping centre to run it out of. In the end it wasn’t possible so we opened up a SMART repair centre. We’ve grown to three sites now and then decided we would go back to our roots and look into portable repair units.
“Three years ago we met up with Xpress Centres in the UK and started to work collaboratively. They had a pod product but we knew we would develop it for the Australian market. The Pod for us is a retail solution but where we see a massive need is in the car dealer environment.
“We design and manufacture the pod and we staff it too. We go into a dealership with matrix pricing and they mark it up according their profit formula. We developed the pod further from the original UK design, so we can now do flat panels as well. Heat source is infra red on a track.
“The most exciting thing about the pod for us is the EPA have declared us 100% emission free. The pod has a three layered filtration system – carbon is the most important – which captures all the odours and VOCs.
“The inbuilt system monitors absolutely everything, temperature, humidity, VOCs. There are cameras too – one for us to troubleshoot if there are any problems but also so we can check our staff are ok. Each technician wears a dongle and if they don’t move for a prescribed period of time everything shuts down – we have to take precautions because they work on their own.”
