LIVE 2019
Oh the places printed packaging
The Print21 + PKN LIVE annual conference, specially curated for the packaging print community, will take place on 12 August in Sydney. With strong industry support and a stellar line-up of speakers and panellists, the event is shaping up to be a calendar highlight this year. Jake Nelson reports.
PACKAGING is a powerful me- dium, an increasingly valu- able consumer touchpoint. The emergence of new technology is seeing the printed pack transforming into a digital data carrier
and brand identity protector while driving consumer engagement and delivering shelf appeal.
Print21 + PKN LIVE 2019 will unpack the possibilities inherent in packaging print. Now in its second year, this not-to-be-missed forum will examine new developments in printed packaging from the perspec- tive of designers, brand owners and printers, and take a closer look at the trends and technology driving change in this dynamic sector.
At this year’s forum, to be held at the Monkey Baa Theatre in Darling Har- bour, leading lights from both indus- tries will guide print business owners and managers through the theme of New Frontiers in Packaging Print.
The full-day event will see speak- ers and panellists explore develop- ments that are helping brands push boundaries in consumer engagement, and deliver brand protection and sustainable packaging solutions.
The audience will include a mix of brand owners and managers, pack and brand designers, packaging and label converters and printers, com- mercial printers considering the packaging opportunity, and printing technology suppliers.
“Print21 + PKN LIVE is the ideal place to network with your fellow printers and converters, and to hear from the industry’s best and bright- est on the future of packaging print,” says Lindy Hughson, publisher of Print21 and PKN. “Last year’s forum was a real success, and we expect this year’s to be a valuable experi- ence for all who makes the journey.”
Following the successful inaugural LIVE packaging print conference last year, headline sponsors HP and Cur- rie Group, gold sponsors Matthews, Kodak, APPMA, and Spicers, and silver sponsor Dreemar have come on board with enthusiasm. Bluestar Display is sponsoring the lunch and EFI the networking drinks, so every- one will be well fed and watered during the networking sessions.
