PARTS MANAGER
SHERIDEN GIBSON
PARTS MANAGER
AMA GROUP MICRA HOBART TAS
Shreridan – Dani – Gibson is repsonsible for two main areas of the business at Mi- cra Hobart – the parts deparment and consumables procurement. Dani also manages and maintains ‘Gemsafe’, which is a monthly OH&S site auditing program as well as pre and post scan- ning every vehicle processed and is a first aid officer.
“I started with AMA Group in 2019 as a customer service officer at Micra and then transferred to Micra Hobart this year into my current role. I would not have been able to achieve this without the support and opportunity given to me by AMA and my colleagues at the Micra sites. I love the variety of my current role, the skills and attributes I am devel- oping that benefit me in both my per- sonal and professional life, and the chal- lenges the industry throws at you every day,” Dani said.
Dani overhauled the entire parts depart- ment when she arrived. She has made the process more efficient by minimis- ing stock onsite and tagging items cor- rectly making it easier for technicians to
identify parts. She also organises and processes any credits within parts sup- plier time limits and terms.
Her nomination says: ‘Dani brings an- other level of energy and enthusiasm to our business and has the ability to lift the morale of her colleagues which al- lows them and the business to tackle challenging tasks in a new light. Dani can be given any new task or prob- lem to be solved with little guidance and always delivers the desired result effi- ciently and with no fuss. It is very rare to find an employee that is so well rounded and versatile in different aspects of the industry which allows her to cover other roles onsite while her colleagues are on leave. Dani is an asset to Micra Hobart and the industry as a whole, she pro- vides an enthusiastic approach while maintaining professionalism at all times. She has a very bright future ahead of her, whichever route she chooses to take in the industry.’
