Foodmach brings suite new solutions
FOODMACH (Stand E065) will focus on applied Industry 4.0 in action at AUSPACK 2019, with a range of IIoT-compatible technology on display.
The manufacturer has a large suite of automation solutions for applications ranging from depalletising, conveying, filling and inspecting through to case packing, traceability, palletising, pallet wrapping and AGVs.
According to Foodmach, it can integrate all equipment on a customer’s line with a management system providing useful live data and full operational control, and its controls expertise means it is better placed to upgrade legacy equipment and implement line management execution systems across old and new machines.
At AUSPACK, Foodmach will display its Line MES, plus robotics and vision
technology including its robotic bag palletiser with vision; the Robopac helix stretchwrapper; the Markem-Imaje Pallet Labeller/UR10 cobot integration plus mark and read solution; the Novus Carry autonomous mobile robot; and the Robowizard pick and place robotics programming tool. ✷
Small batch star
A French food company specialising in cereals, pulses, seeds, and dried mushrooms has revamped its packaging with bag solutions from Schur Star Systems (Stand H166), an exhibitor at AUSPACK 2019.
Sabarot Wassner has introduced new reclosable stand-up bags produced by Schur Star for its
product lines. The newly-installed Schur Star equipment is part of a plant upgrade designed to add space and reduce complexity.
The Schur Star system offered fast and easy changeovers for small-batch products, according to Thomas Morin, industrial director at Sabarot Wassner.
“On the occasion of our 200th
anniversary we decided to streamline our production process and to upgrade our packaging
– and perfect unity was created when we were introduced to the Schur Star Concept,” he says.
“Not only did we simplify the packing process by introducing pre-made bags, we also increased production capacity, we reduced

manning and, last but not least, we have updated and sophisticated the packaging solution for two of our brands – with more to come. We are happy, excited and cannot wait to bring the new packs on the market.”
