Carel extends controller range
THE RANGE OF pCO programmable control- lers for the management of HVACR applications and systems has been extended with the addi- tion of pCO5+ HS (High Speed).
The new pCO5+ HS guarantees improved performance both in terms of application times (start-up and cycle) and upgrade speed.
This improved controller performance
translates into faster unit set-up. When com- missioning in the field, system management is also much faster.
Native integration of the USB port further simplifies maintenance: the data logger files saved on the controller can be simply and quickly copied to a USB flash drive or PC, for detailed analysis.
The higher performance of the pCO5+ makes it ideal for chillers.
The calculation speed of the pCO5+ HS means it can respond more quickly and precise- ly to variations in the main unit input values (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.).
pCO5+ HS is available in a version with two built-in electronic expansion valve drivers and an optional Ultracap module, for integrated en- ergy saving management.
This guarantees perfect compatibility with the entire range of pCO3 and pCO5 controllers, in terms of both hardware (pin-to-pin compat- ible) and software).
The higher performance of the pCO5+ HS makes the controller ideal for chillers (with screw or centrifugal compressors), process chillers (where it is important to guarantee constant temperature and humidity) and data centres.
Heuch gets fresh with European designed cooling
MELBOURNE BASED COMPANY Heuch has teamed up with a selection of local and Europe- an manufacturers to bring the latest in Europe- an designed food produce cooling technology to the Australian market.
After noticing a demand for more innovative and advanced pre-cooling and cold storage op- tions for growers and distributors battling the Aussie heat, Heuch managing director, Steve
Oakley, created a new subsidiary known as Heuch Fresh – Cold Chain Solutions.
Oakley said the new division is dedicated to providing cooling solutions with a proven histo- ry in European markets to improve product quality, increase produce shelf life, reduce wast- age and lower operating costs.
He said that since 1970 Heuch has been em- powering businesses and communities to be

self-sufficient and economically sustainable by providing first rate HVAC-R engineering solu- tions and programmed maintenance services.
“Our focus is entirely on your business and how we can help provide a solution that covers the complete cold chain cycle. From harvest to processing to storage,” he said.
After winning the 2016 HVAC-R Innovator of the Year Award, Heuch made its entry into the European fresh produce market at Fruit Logis- tica in Berlin during February, where it show- cased its 100 per cent solar powered refrigera- tion container solution alongside Dutch company BG door.
This is when the company reached agree- ments with companies such as Nijssen, Weber, Besseling and Softripe.
“Heuch Fresh are now providing the latest state of the art equipment in pre-cooling, vacu- um cooling, controlled atmosphere (CA) and rip- ening rooms to farmers and providers of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs with their success in solar integration and professional servicing,” Oakley said.
