HONEY PURITY TESTS
IN QUESTION
Australian honey testing and the scandal over the purity of honey continued as a hot topic with the release of a new study that implicates local honey. The ACCC investigated claims that Capilano’s Allowrie blended imported and Australian honey products were adulterated but failed to find any evidence to support the allegation.
The ACCC is now urging the honey industry and the government to review testing standards and methods.
