acts with the customer as soon as the insurer accepts liability for the claim, right through to customer feedback.
We talked to Moss who said that the software is proving very effective. “85% of customers are uploading pho- tos of the damage allowing us to triage the repairs prior to arrival and if they are out of scope the Insurer will direct them elsewhere immediately. If they are in scope we can order the parts in advance, check them in at their ap- pointed time and release delivery of the parts through our supply partners so that work can begin straight away. Eve- ryone in the supply chain benefits from this innovation.” he said.
Of course the car is stripped and prop- erly inspected for any hidden damage before it enters the repair stream.
Site manager Vince Valentino has re- cently joined the group and he loves the software. “It’s a game changer. It means that, on the whole, everything goes real- ly smoothly and it’s very seldom we have to send cars away that aren’t in scope.”
It’s still early days for the company but with the system being constantly fine tuned they are very confident in the model and their insurance partner Auto & Gener- al has been happy with results so far.
The Tullamarine site which opened in January 2023, operating with two Low- bake booths and an extra parts booth, is expected to repair in excess of eighty cars per week when fully operational.
