Compressors, Condensers & Evaporators
Cooling for harsh ambient conditions
The Plusbox SSV range is designed for harsh Australian ambient conditions.
densers designed for the extremely harsh Aus- tralian ambient conditions.
The Plusbox SSV enclosure features powder coated sheetmetal with a substantial galva- nised steel undercarriage fitted with remova- ble ventilated panels to aid serviceability and provide access to the generous compressor compartment and stainless steel refrigeration performance gauges viewable from outside the Plusbox.
The GEA Bock HG (Hermetic gas cooled) range of semi hermetic compressors offer
traditional refrigerant gas cooled compressor state of the art technology. These compressors
are of the highest quality standard, Asercom rated and excel in their running comfort, ease of
maintenance, efficiency and reliability.
The updated range of gas cooled GEA Bock compressors series HG22e, HG34e, HG44e, HG66e and HG88e are all available in the Plus- box SSV incorporating:
• New design housing for maximum gas flow. • Optimized valve plate.
• High efficiency motors of newest generation. • Exchangeable motor.
• Proven and reliable oil pump lubrication. • Standard footprints.
• Standard connections.
The introduction of the range of the Interna- tional Plusbox SSV will compliment the Austral- ian assembled range of condensing units which for many years has been and remain available as a custom built be-spoke refrigeration solution catering for personalized needs.
The Plusbox SSV along with the range of GEA Bock condensing units and compressors are
available from GEA Australia and GEA ap- proved re-sellers.
THE NAME GEA is synonymous with quality refrigeration technology.
Since the end of the 19th century it has been the business of GEA to cool processes and prod- ucts and control temperatures. GEA solutions can be found in the food and beverage sector; in the petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceuti- cal industries; on fishing ships; in natural gas liquidefication and in infrastructure facilities to name a few.
As part of the ongoing product development and refinement program, GEA takes great pleas- ure in announcing the introduction of the “I” (In-
ternational) series of Plusbox SSV Outdoor con- densing units.
The“I” series incorporates the highly respect- ed GEA Bock semi hermetic “E” series compres- sor available for low and medium temperature applications and as per the standard GEA Plus- box SSV range of outdoor condensing units, the “I” series is fitted with generous air cooled con-
BITZER inks partnership with Fassmer
BITZER AND THE Fassmer company have formed a partnership and will examine CO2 re- frigeration systems on ships, with a focus on both shipbuilding and refrigeration technology.
Organic rankine cycle systems, which gener- ate energy from waste heat, will also be a compo- nent of the collaboration.
The companies have signed an initial five year agreement.
Fassmer designs and builds special vessels and is a global market leader in the construc- tion of lifeboats and tenders while BITZER pro- vides cooling products specifically for marine applications.
The agreement will have a particular focus on developing ships and refrigeration systems with
the lowest global warming potential and emis- sions possible, taking into account applicable safety and environmental regulations as well as cost efficiency.
BITZER sales director of AC, marine and pro- cess, Mathias Layher, said the two companies will work together for the purpose of developing eco-friendly solutions for all kinds of refrigera- tion systems in shipbuilding.
Fassmer managing director, Holger Fassmer, said developing and using eco-friendly technolo- gies is an essential part of what they do.
“Working with BITZER and bundling our expertise and knowledge, we’ll be able to re- duce CO2 emissions even further in future,” Fassmer said. ✺
