a whole new Pan paint shop, bought an- other building next door and pretty much rearranged the entire 4500m2 site — all during COVID lockdowns with the resulting delays and frustrations.
It was worth it as they now have a more productive workflow separating out small to medium repairs from heavy. The larger the staff the harder it is to achieve I-CAR Gold but they have man- aged it with their 33 strong team. Previ- ous winners, I’m sure we’ll see them on the podium once again in the future.

I’m making a bold claim here but I reck- on this is the hippest collision repair shop in Australia. It’s not easy to find big units in Castle Hill so the Peter Christodoulou and his sons have made the most of smaller adjacent units which are beautifully presented with eye- catching wall graphics and top notch equipment. Tesla approved, Bodytech has been very smart with its diversifica- tion into sandblasting, customisation, hydro dipping, marine and mechanical so that it has a raft of work where the management sets the rates.
Again another big team of nearly 30 that has achieved I-CAR Gold.
WILLMOT SMASH REPAIR

Another team of 30 (I-CAR Gold — tick!, Tesla and Lexus approved — tick!) run by Helena Willmot and Wes Jenkins. The couple built an industry-leading new site and won Best New Shop back in 2018. Since then they have honed their processes to have an incredibly produc- tive workshop. Team culture is good and there has always been a laser focus on sustainable initiatives such as reusing where possible and reducing waste as well as developing staff.
Now they are set to double capacity by bringing the original site back online with new equipment.
