IF I HAD TO PICK THE TOP FIVE BODYSHOPS IN AUSTRALIA THEN B&A WOULD ALWAYS MAKE THE CUT — AN INDUSTRY LEADING FACILITY WHERE THE MAZZEO FAMILY WORK SO HARD THEY ALMOST MAKE IT LOOK EASY.
&A, CLAYTON VIC IS PRETTY
much a one stop shop for their customers keeping vir- ually all services in house. Second generation managers Dominic and Tony Mazzeo manage to combine a craftsman approach with a
fully screwed on business head.
They saw the way the wind was blowing years ago. They saw it was not just that ‘having a badge’ would help them as a independent business in a market being dominated by MSO that could potentially take work away from them, but also that these relationships with OEMs (check out their impressive roster) would become increasingly es- sential as vehicles become more com- plex. They understood that access to OEM repair methods and training would be the only way to ensure that their customers’ vehicles would be re-
turned to pre-accident condition.
On top of all this the Mazzeo family all have a passion for cars which is proudly displayed in the mini car mu-

This has always been
a huge repair facility
but each year we come
back it’s grown even
more and B&A has im-
proved their productiv-
ity. It’s a lot to manage
– nearly 50 staff, resto-
ration, truck and car re-
pair, mechanical ser-
vicing, plastic repair, PDR, training apprentices and keeping all the techni- cians up to date. B&A achieved I-CAR Gold back in 2017 and have managed to keep that status. With such a big team that is a great achievement but one of their secrets is that they actually retain the vast majority of their staff with many long termers on the team.
It’s not just that B&A ticks all the boxes, they actually create new boxes before almost anyone else to add to the list of what makes a great collision re- pair facility.
They have a strong and well thought out brand — “family values, corporate structure” . The customer reception and handover areas are at luxury deal- ership level. The workshops are old buildings but well laid out with the best equipment.
FROM TOP: Customers driving in here will feel happy leaving their car. Dealership presentation.
Tony says: “We strive to foster our family business values from our cus- tomers, suppliers and in particular our great team with regular meetings and lunches.” says Tony.
Not only do they curate an exceptional customer experience from the moment looks up their professional website or checks them out on social media, they have a great reputation throughout the industry from OEMs to suppliers and of course their loyal customer base.
In addition to this they give back to the community supporting Special Children’s Christmas Party, Ride to Fight Cancer, Peter Mac Cancer Foun- dation, Disability Sport & Recreation, and Movember Donations.
