Ducted range designed for installer base
PANASONIC AUSTRALIA LAUNCHED A NEW RANGE OF INVERTER SPLITTABLE DUCTED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS DURING THE EXHIBITION WHICH WAS WELL RECEIVED BY INSTALLERS.
THEY are designed to make the installation process faster and easier when large systems are required in freestanding Australian homes.
The newly-designed high static pressure ducted indoor units can be split into three parts (heat exchanger, fan and fan casing) and requires fewer screws, bolts and only two wire connectors to construct, giving greater flexi- bility and making the units easy to assemble for installers.
Specifically designed for the local market, the new splittable units (see image) are also re- duced in size from previous models.
The units are 23 per cent smaller in depth, al- lowing for less intrusive access to roof cavities,
and are up to 17 per cent lighter minimising the physical strain of installation.
The new models also offer the benefit of a compact 370mm side discharge outdoor unit that will fit down the side of a house without blocking the pathway.
Available in 18.0kW, 20.0kW and 22.4kW ca- pacities, the units offer up to 1,400 I/s airflow (16 per cent improvement from the previous model ) and up to 200 Pa static pressure, to allow for ducted free blow or ductwork configurations, meeting the majority of large house air condi- tioning requirements.
The units also feature a wide operating tem- perature range – from -150C to 460C.

1. The new splittable units are easy for installers to assemble.
2. Once again there was plenty of impressive machinery on show at the exhibition.
3. There are also plenty of tables on hand to sit and talk business, or return one or two emails.
