After initially being delayed by global supply chain issues, the SATA trueSun LED colour matching lamp is heading to Australian shores.
Colour matching lights are a handy innovation but if the artificial light they produce is not an accurate representation of the entire sunlight / daylight colour spectrum, it can’t repro- duce colour tones that are true to original and this can easily lead to time consuming re- work. The SATA trueSun LED colour matching lamp features LED technology that was spe- cifically developed for automotive colour matching and, as a result, it produces an almost perfect reproduction of daylight, says distributor PPG.
In addition, this high precision LED lamp has been tuned for a uniform distribution of light across the whole of the light cone. As well as being infinitely adjustable, the light intensity is constant across the entire battery charge range. On full light intensity, the battery life of the SATA trueSun is approximately 70 minutes and a full battery recharge takes around 50 minutes.
A built-in display lets you keep track of the charge level and an automatic switch-off function helps avoid wasting power when the light is not needed. Whether it’s inside the spray booth or anywhere indoors, the SATA trueSun provides a reliable and accurate solu- tion for achieving the best possible colour reproduction and visibility of effects pigments, as well as for detecting flaws, such as mottling. These are the moments where a missed iden- tification can easily lead to an expensive rework. Avoiding just one rework can easily de- liver a return on the investment for your SATA trueSun.
