The prestigious Chef of the Year returns hotter than ever in 2019, with 32 finalists battling against the clock and each other to produce their best dishes in the centre of the show.
The Chef of the Year competition is one of the most rewarding in the country, with a total prize pool of $10,000 in cash and prizes from industry sponsors, including Unox Australia, Australian Pork, Anchor Food Professionals, PFD, Sous Vide, Simco, Alsco and Ecolab.

BATTLE OF THE PACIFIC
Restaurant Challenge
24-25 June
This exciting two-day contest organised by the Australian Culinary Federation (ACF) is also being held at Foodservice Australia for the first time. Eight teams will compete to prepare a two-course lunch to be served in a pop-up 40-seat restaurant on the show f loor.

The latest trends in bakery and desserts will take centre stage at the Sweet Spot, right at the entrance to Foodservice Australia.
Hosted by Nerida Conway and sponsored by Confeta, Apromo and Unox, this exciting new demonstration stage will showcase what’s trending
in chocolate, confectionery, gelato
and patisserie, with free hourly presentations.
Presenters include “the Sugar Florist” Timothea Ridgewell, pastry chef Pierrick Boyer, chocolate artisan Jessica Pedemont and award-winning patissier Santiago Cuyugan from Bibelot.
