v. Installation of Lock pin arrangement: In order to avoid train

partings, installation of Lock pin arrangement on M/s Dellner
make & M/s Escorts make AAR compatible couplers, has been

carried out at Secunderabad and Hyderabad Coaching depots,
thereby reducing chances for train parting. Out of 235 coaches, 55

have been modified by OEM or by kits supplied by OEM.

vi. Go/No-Go gauge for grouping of springs during ROH of wagons:

During ROH of wagons, the bolster springs have to be grouped
according to their free height before fitment on CASNUB trolleys. At

RDM freight depot, daily on an average 250-290 springs have to be
grouped by measuring free height during ROH. Presently height is

being measured with a scale which is tiresome and takes lot of
time. To overcome this, Ramdagundam freight depot has

developed a gadget with Go and No-Go gauge to group
different varities of springs for various wagons.
