School is where we start building our beautiful future, I
began my journey of creating my inspiring future at Annai
Velankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School, when I was 7
years old which is the foundation for where I am now. It moved me
with lot of memories, good friends and gained knowledge from
wonderful teachers who guided me in right path rather than only
teaching subjects.

I successfully completed my schooling in 2017 with
1184/1200 and proved that everything is possible with encouraging
teachers, perfect friends and a good environment in school and
supporting parents. This is the place where I was inspired to choose
my career as a teacher which helped me to work hard and achieve the
position as a professor in well-reputed institution.

I am Yamunasri Rajagopal of 2012-13 batch. To pen down my thoughts about my
school days has always been quite difficult because no number of superlatives will do justice
to the phenomenon called ‘Annai Velankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School,
Sowripalayam.’ In my perspective, AVM is much beyond just an institution. It is a second
home to me. It is the place where I spent 10 years of my life, the most memorable years of my
life. Be it academically or personally, AVMHSS has provided me with abundant exposure
and opportunities to discover my hidden talents. This has really been an awesome feeling to
be the part of such a marvellous educational institution.

Dear teachers, you awoke us, you taught us like a teacher, protected us like our
beloved parents and guided us like a mentor. You are truly called an ideal ‘Guru’. I feel
privileged to be taught by all of you teachers because you are the teachers who set me forth Yamuna Sri Rajagopal
