Annai Velankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School, a premier educational

institution in Sowripalayam, was established

in the year 1995. It is piloted by the Annai

Velankanni Educational Trust. It has

celebrated its Silver Jubilee recently in a

grandiose manner. The ulterior motive of our

Institution is Patriotism, Wisdom and
Humanity. The school was recognized by the

Government from May 1998.

It is a matter of great pride that for more

than past two and a half decades, Annai

Velankanni Matric. Hr. Sec. School has done commendable service in dispensing an excellent

education to thousands of children in and around Sowripalayam. It is one of the prominent and

most sought-after senior secondary schools in Coimbatore imparting quality education at an

affordable cost to economically backward people. Our vision ‘Educate, Enlighten and

Empower’ has been tested over the last twenty-five years and has been proven to be effective,

successful, accepted and appreciated by the community.

Established in 1995 with a humble beginning of 15 students, the institution has traversed a

glorious journey studded with numerous

landmark achievements in the field of

academics and extracurricular activities

bewitched by our ideals and

accomplishments, every year we are

getting a number of new admissions which

give us new vigour and spirit in our

responsibilities. The school has spread out

and today, it has got more than 2000 students and 100 staff on roll.
