  Livelihood Training on Fish Deboning


      The Department of Agriculture headed by Mrs. Marilyn Martin, City Agriculturist, conducted a post-
   training  support  which  is  the  “Hands-On  Training  on  Fish  Value  Adding  and  Entrepreneurship  and
   Awarding  of  Fish  Processing  Equipment”  at  Ilocos  Norte  Regional  School  of  Fisheries  last  August  2,
   2019 at the school quadrangle.
            The goal of this training program is to help the students become financially independent through
   business. With the implementation  of the 4H club project, the students will be given the chance  to
   enhance their entrepreneurial and managerial skill on business with the coordination of the SGC.
            One of the speakers of the training was Mrs. Regina C. Baltazar, an officer-in-charge of Postharvest
   and Marketing at Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources. She focused her discussion on the Good
   Agricultural  and  Manufacturing  Practices.  Mr.  Elmer  V.  Santiago,  Senior  Agriculturist,  also  discussed
   the entrepreneurial values and attitude.
             The  program  concluded  on  the  hands-on  training  of  fish  siomai  and  fish  shanghai  at  the  Food
   Processing Laboratory 2. Mrs. Baltazar lectured on the ingredients they could eliminate or substitute
   to gain a higher profit.
