Model School Initiative of

                                Dagupan City National High School

Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) stands as a beacon of
innovation and excellence, committed to fostering holistic development and
addressing the diverse needs of its learners. Through its forward-thinking
Model School Initiative, the school has implemented transformative programs
and projects that enhance academic performance, nurture talents, and improve
                  school facilities.

Key among these is Project I-Dream, a tailored intervention for struggling
readers that equips them with essential literacy skills. Complementing this is the
establishment of Reading Parks for both Junior High School (JHS) and Senior
High School (SHS), creating inviting spaces to inspire a culture of reading.

The school also prioritizes infrastructure through initiatives like Project
Talisiw, a SHS project that ensures pathways are free of mud during rainy
days while enhancing the school’s aesthetics. The active engagement of the
School Governing Council (SGC) is evident in its timely meetings and approval
of resolutions that support these projects, including the recent purchase of a
                  school van.

Technology-driven learning has been amplified through the Project Smart
TV with Wi-Fi, offering enhanced teaching tools and digital access. Meanwhile,
a testament to the school’s enduring partnerships is the construction of the
Angara Building, a state-of-the-art gymnasium made possible through the
collaboration of school alumni and Senator Angara.

Further infrastructure developments include new buildings such as
a modern library to cater to academic needs. The school also celebrates the
remarkable accomplishments of its Special Program in the Arts (SPA) and
Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) programs, which nurture student
                  creativity and innovation.

Notably, the Journalism Program has flourished with advanced equipment,
enabling students to achieve national recognition. Finally, the Bag Project by
the Class of 1985 exemplifies alumni generosity, providing essential supplies to
                  students in need.

Together, these initiatives embody DCNHS’s unwavering dedication to its
vision of a globally competitive, student-centered learning environment.
