The Herbert von Karajan Prize at the Salzburg Easter Festival has been
awarded to American violinist Hilary Hahn. The prize awarded since
2017 is €50,000 and was received by Hahn at his Salzburg concert on 30
October.
The winner of this year's cello competition at the 75th Geneva Music
Competition was Michiaki Ueno from Japan. Canada's Bryan Cheng
and third-ranked Korean Jaemin Han took second place. There was
no first or second place in the Oboe competition. The third prize was
