GREETINGS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Back in 1959, on September 9, the fact that a decision was made to establish and operate the Heat Pipe Network
Operation Department responsible for the operation and maintenance of Ulaanbaatar city’s heating facilities by Resolution No.
367 of the Council of Ministers of the Mongolian People’s Republic not only marked the founding of our company but also

laid the historical foundation for the emergence and development of a centralized heating system in Mongolia.
Initially, our organization started with 9 employees, 10 km of pipeline, and about 80 customers. Over time, in line with
the prosperity and construction of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, we have grown day by day, year by year, expanding our reach.

While honorably fulfilling our noble duty of providing uninterrupted and reliable heat energy to this big city, we have also taken on
the responsibility for regime calculations, adjustments, calibrations, and ensuring normal and reliable operation of heat supply
in the centers of 21 rural provinces, providing professional methodological advice.
In the last 5 years, we have spent 94.12 billion tugriks from state and capital city budget investments, 137.18 billion
tugriks from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and World Bank investments, and 24.13 billion tugriks from

the company’s own funds on expansion and renovation work of heat transmission network pipelines, which includes renewing
16% of the transmission network with deteriorated operational conditions and expanding the coverage area of heat supply and
improved reliability by laying 37.28 km of new heating pipelines in Bayankhoshuu, Yaarmag, Amgalan, 1st khoroolol, and VII

micro-district in line with the city’s master plan. With these achievements and accomplishments, we are celebrating our historic
65th anniversary.
We have marked the proud moments of our history as the state and government have recognized the passionate
and dedicated construction works, achievements, and success of our organization and awarded us with prestigious awards
such as “Organization with the Best Management” “Order of the Red Banner of Labor Valour” and “Best Organization” in the

Energy Sector.
In the future, our organization will continue to carry out its responsible and honorable duty of distributing thermal en-
ergy with professional skills, while striving to further strengthen its achievements, create a smart network by completing the

planned target tasks in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and quality policy, bring Mongolia’s heat supply system
up to world standards, introduce innovative services for consumers, and further improve the comfortable working and living
conditions for our citizens.
On the occasion of the historic 65th anniversary of the establishment of the centralized heating supply system in
Mongolia and the founding of “Ulaanbaatar Heating Network” state-owned JSC, I extend my greetings to all the hardworking

colleagues - engineers, technicians, and workers who have mastered heat and light, who are the heart and lifeline of the capital
city’s centralized heating system, and who are dedicating their knowledge, skills, and hearts to the noble and sacred work of
distributing heat and light; to the leadership of various generations of our company; to the veterans who generously share their

invaluable experience; to the entire Energy sector community; to our cooperating partner organizations; and to the thousands
of consumers. I wish you all good health, success, achievements, and all the best.
