COMPANY STRUCTURE

The Government of Mongolia reorganized the company as “Ulaanbaatar Heating Network”
state-owned joint-stock company by Resolution No. 164 on July 9, 2001.

2019-2024

In 2024, The Amgalan Thermal Power Plant expanded by 100 Gcal/h.

- Implemented the “Ulaanbaatar City Centralized Heat Supply Efficiency Improvement Proj-
ect” funded by the World Bank and EBRD.
- Expanded and renovated 25.8 km of pipeline with state and capital city investment, and

14.8 km with company investment.
- Awarded with the Order of Red Banner of Labor Valour.
- Introduced ISO:9001 Quality Management System Standard.

- Won the 1st place in the Heat Sector Scientific Conference for the 100th anniversary of
the Energy sector.

- Awarded the best organization in the Energy sector for 2023.
- Transitioned to a single-buyer model.
- Conducted a feasibility study for distributed sources to operate during peak loads.
