governmental payers. Wolfe is regularly called on to serve as an expert in the health-
care industry, representing the largest health systems in Florida through the ever-
evolving framework of new regulations, issues of medical loss ratio, the CARES act,
and potential liability litigation.
An active member of the community, Wolfe is involved in the Florida chapter of the
Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He received his law degree
from University of Miami School of Law and bachelor’s degree from DePaul
University.

Barsoum Resigns
After 25 years of serving the Cleveland Clinic organiza-
tion, Wael Barsoum, M.D., will be stepping down as CEO
and President of the Cleveland Clinic Florida region to
pursue opportunities outside the organization. This
change took effect June 22, 2020.
During his tenure, he has contributed significantly to

successful health system.
He will continue to serve as a part-time member of the professional staff as an
orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery. And he will also
continue to serve as a Professor of Surgery in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of
Medicine.
Joseph Iannotti, M.D., Ph.D., Chief of Staff Cleveland Clinic Florida region, will
serve as interim CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic Florida. Cleveland Clinic
Florida will conduct an internal search for this role.
