We can divide the food into three groups :
1. Energy-giving foods 2. Body-building foods
3. Protective foods
We should eat all kinds of food in the right amount. Eating too much
can make us fat and eating too little can make us weak.
1. Energy-giving Foods : Some food such as rice, wheat, etc., give us
energy to work and play. These foods are called energy-giving foods .
They also help our body to stay warm. Examples : rice, potato, sugar,
etc.

2. Body-building Foods : Food items that help us to grow and build our
bones and muscles strong are called body-building foods . Examples :
milk, eggs, fish, and cheese, etc. They also make our teeth strong.

3. Protective Foods : Food items that protect us from diseases are called
protective foods. Examples : vegetables, fruits, dry fruits, etc.
