The lion and jackal tricked the trusting camel because they were hungry, showing
how greed can lead to dishonesty . This story reminds us to be careful and not trust
too quickly.
Once upon a time, in the big
jungle, there was a lion who had a
clever jackal as his Minister. The
jackal's job was to find tasty
animals for the lion to eat, and they
usually shared the food happily.
But one day, the lion fell very
sick. He couldn't even leave his den,
and he was very hungry. He said to the
jackal, "I'm feeling weak, and I haven't
eaten for days. You must find me some
food, or else I might have to eat you!"
The worried jackal rushed into the jungle, searching for food. After a
long search, he spotted a tall camel munching on leaves. The jackal, thinking
quickly, went up to the camel and said, "Dear camel, our forest king has
been searching for a messenger just like you. He wants you to visit him right
away."
The camel, eager to help, agreed to go with the jackal. They reached
the lion's den, and without warning, the lion pounced on the unsuspecting
camel, eating him in an instant. Both the lion and the jackal enjoyed their
meal, but the poor camel learned a tough lesson.
