In this tale, we learn that worldly possessions are temporary, and no one truly owns

them forever. The wise hermit's words made emperor Akbar realise the
impermanence of material wealth and the importance of humility.

Once upon a time, emperor Akbar was always thinking about his vast

empire. One day, an old hermit arrived at the emperor's palace and sat under a

tree. The palace guards were confused about what to do with him. When the
emperor came and asked the hermit why he was there, the hermit calmly

questioned, "Is this your palace?" The emperor proudly replied, "Yes, it's mine.

This palace, the walls, the fort, the whole empire belongs to me." The emperor
          was visibly irritated.

The hermit then asked, "Who lived here before you?" The emperor

answered, "First, my grandfather, then my father, and now I live here. After me,

my sons and grandsons will stay here."
