In this story, we learn that true wisdom is more valuable than material
accomplishments. It's important to listen to wise words and try to understand their
deeper meanings, even if they seem simple at first.
Once upon a time, there was a wise
man called Bodhisattva. He lived on a
mountain with five hundred followers. They
were like a big family. One day, some of his
followers including the chief of the followers
went to find food, and the rest stayed with
Bodhisattva. They wanted to know what
great things he had achieved in his life.
Bodhisattva thought for a moment and
replied, "Nothing."
His followers didn't understand. They
thought he hadn't accomplished anything and
considered him a failure. Sadly, Bodhisattva
passed away, and his followers buried him without
any ceremony .
When the chief follower returned and heard
what happened, he explained that Bodhisattva
had reached great wisdom. He could see things
beyond what most people could. But the others
still didn't get it.
