Even though his friends told him not to, the tortoise decided to leave their

home by the lake. He thought it was the safest thing to do. But as he slowly

crawled away, a hunter suddenly appeared. This hunter was very skilled and very

mean. He captured the tortoise and put him in a bag.

The rat and the crow knew they had to rescue their friend. The rat quickly

chewed a hole in the bag, and when the hunter got close to a "lifeless" deer, the

rat bit the hunter's leg. The hunter was surprised and in pain, so he dropped the

bag. The tortoise wasted no time and scurried back to the safety of the lake.

Their clever plan worked perfectly, and they all reunited, hugging and

laughing. They thanked the rat for being so smart, and the tortoise said sorry for

not listening to his friends earlier.
