This story teaches us about the consequences of greed and betrayal. It reminds us to

value honesty and fairness in our actions, even when tempted by selfish desires.

Once upon a time in the jungle, a lion enjoyed his

peaceful naps in his den. But there was a pesky

mouse that bothered him every day, thinking
the lion was too lazy to catch him. The

mouse would pull the lion's mane and

          tease him endlessly.

The lion grew tired of this daily
annoyance and decided to seek help.

He called upon his cousin, a clever cat,

and said, "I'll make you the royal

          mouse-catcher. Chase away this
troublesome mouse, and I'll reward you

          with tasty meals."

The cat gladly accepted the task and kept the mouse in a cage. For a while,
they all lived harmoniously. The lion shared his food with the cat, and peace

          reigned in the jungle.

However, the cat's greed grew over time. She wanted more than just food,

so she hatched a plan to trick the mouse. When the lion was away hunting, she

pounced on the mouse and ended his mischief.
Upon returning, the lion learned of the cat's deceit. He was disappointed by

her greed and stopped providing her with food. The cat, now frail and hungry,

          met a tragic end.
