Academics

• Heber Springs High School showed school-wide growth on ACT Aspire tests and
scored at or above the national average and grades 3-5 are scoring at or above
the national average in all subjects. Middle School scored an “A” and High School
and Elementary School were just a few points from scoring an “A”

• High School Juniors averaged 19.6 on the ACT, nearly a full point higher than
the state average of 18.7

Band/Music

• Middle School Band
30 students received medals at Solo & Ensemble received an Excellent rating at
Concert

• High School Band: The High School Band received an excellent rating at Region
Marching Assessment and all superior ratings at the Sweepstakes Award at
Region Concert Assessment. Between the high school and middle schools, the
band had 19 students make All-Region Concert or Jazz Band. The High School
Band and Jazz Band together had 4 All State Qualifiers.

Activities/Athletics

• FCCLA Teams qualified for Nationals.
• Football was conference champions for the second consecutive year.
• Cross Country (Girls) won State Championship. Cross Country (Boys) team was
runner-up.
• Class 4A State Champion for Cross Country
• Baseball qualified again for Regionals
• Boys Soccer finished 2nd in conference and qualified for the State Tournament
• Girls Soccer qualified for the State Tournament

Heber Springs Performing Arts
Center on the campus of the Heber
Springs High School was completed
in 2015. It hosts classrooms, the band
room, the theatre department black
box and a 1000 seat auditorium.
