Kiai Wahid Hasyim considered that "One God" is the concept of monotheism in Islam. So
that there is no reason or loophole for Muslims to reject this concept in Pancasila. This
means that with this concept, Muslims have the right to practice their religious beliefs
without discriminating against other religious beliefs. It is at this point that implementing
Pancasila is the same as practicing Islamic Sharia teachings in the concept of national and
state life. Finally, there is no intolerance in national life in the name of ethnicity, religion,
and others. Of course, Pancasila, which is accommodative in the context of the precepts of
Godhead, embodies a unique state order in the aspect of the relationship between religion
and the state. This has the meaning that the Indonesian state is neither a secular state nor an
Islamic state, but rather a state that seeks to develop religious and religious life
Apart from being able to describe Pancasila theologically and philosophically against the
initial formulation proposed by Soekarno on June 1, 1945, Kiai Wahid Hasyim also dared to
emphasize that as an Indonesian society, the majority of whom are Muslims, they must show
an attitude of inclusivity towards pluralism that exists in the Unitary State of the Republic of
Indonesia. That is, Pancasila is a representation of the entire Indonesian nation which is the
               basis of the state.
It cannot be denied that in explaining Pancasila, Kiai Wahid Hasyim departed from the
traditions and scholarship of the pesantren. So that it can be said that Pancasila is a
crystallization of teachings Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja). According to him, it was at
this point that NU and the entire Indonesian nation were not only obliged to practice it, but
               also had to protect Pancasila.
