“Leadership”
The city of Mecca was hit by a big flood. The massive
flood even destroyed the walls of Ka’bah. In order to rebuild
the Ka'bah, all people in Mecca work together day and night.
They didn’t want their Famous construction to fall apart.
Finally, their hard work paid off. Ka’bah was standing
majestically. Yet, there was still one more thing to do, which
was to lay Al Hajarul Aswad stone, the black stone as the
symbol of glory.
Two Arabic tribes were having a dispute about Al
Hajarul Aswad.
“We are entitled to lay this stone, because we are the
biggest tribe in this city,” said one of the Quraisy leaders.
“That's impossible, we are entitled to it!” the leader of
another tribe argued.
The other leader claimed, “We are more entitled!”
Nobody wanted to let it go, and it was decided to make
a competition. Whoever came the earliest to the door of
Ka’bah in the next morning, he would be the one to lay Al
Hajarul Aswad stone.
The morning finally came. Indeed, Allah SWT had
destined that the one who became the earliest at the place
was Prophet Muhammad SAW. Even before dawn broke,
the Prophet had been alive to take some time to get closer to
Allah SWT.
Then people claimed, “He is the one who is entitled to
lay Al Hajarul Aswad stone!”
