“Agree! He is sent by Allah to come earliest!” added the
other.
And so prophet Muhammad SAW was chosen as the one
entitled to lay Al Hajarul Aswad stone. A moment later, the
Prophet asked all leaders of tribes to lift Al Hajarul Aswad stone
together. Prophet Muhammad SAW spread a peace of clothes on
the ground and put the stone on it. Then, he asked all the leaders
to lift it together.
“Dear tribe leader! Let's lift Al Hajarul Aswad stone
together!” said the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
One by one all tribe leaders stepped forward. They held each
corner of the cloth and lifted the stone to the wall of Ka’bah. At the
last Al Hajarul Aswad could be placed perfectly.
Everybody was amazed by the Prophet Muhammad’s
wisdom. On that occasion the prophet was able to handle the
dispute among the tribe leaders. Since then, the brotherhood
among the tribes became stronger. All because of what Prophet
Muhammad SAW had done for peace and unity.

Moral of the story:

Prophet Muhammad SWA gives an example of how to act as a
leader. A good leader should be wise. He would never ignite a
dispute and tries to reconcile the disputing parties. The prophet
asked everyone to work together in harmony to reach common
goals. This kind of attitude should be followed.
