 Personal Items
Please do not bring your child’s personal items. Pacifiers, baby bottles, and other items that go into the mouth are difficult to keep out of the mouths of other children. Toys, phones, smart watches, jewelry, and other such items distract your child from their purposeful work and often cause conflict with their classmates.
  Dress Code
Children should dress in comfortable clothes that enable them to participate in outdoor activities. To avoid distractions, please
do not wear clothing or shoes that contain characters that solve their problems fighting, light-up shoes, sequins, or items that make noise. We ask that lunch boxes are character free as well.

  Footwear
All children are required to wear shoes that allow them to play freely and safely Closed-toe shoes with Velcro are best. Flip flops and sandals without back straps (or too loose) are dangerous to run in, shoe laces for young children who can’t tie, or cowboy boots and other shoes with smooth soles also cause a risk.
  Peanut Free
Please do not pack any food items that contain peanut products. We have severely allergic children. Almond butter, sunflower butter, and soy butter are good alternatives. If you pack one of these alternatives, please leave a note in your child’s lunch box to let us know.
If we are unsure about an item, we may replace that item with something from our kitchen.
  Parking Lot Safety
Our parking lot is one way. Please enter by the pond on the north end and exit through the south end. Please do not back into spaces as it causes congestion for those behind.
Please do not use your cell phone as this is a school zone.
For the safety and flow of arrival and dismissal, the parking lot is not a safe place for the parents to socialize, as we have witnessed children running and playing in between and around parked cars and into the flow of incoming traffic. Please make arrangements to meet friends at a coffee shop or other venue for parent socialization.
