 Transparent Classroom
A Window into Your Childʼs World
Transparent Classroom is a record-keeping tool specifically designed by Montessorians for Montessori teachers and Montessori parents. Since assessment of a child’s learning in a Montessori classroom happens organically as part of the individualized learning model without grades and formal tests, this program gives insight into their child’s academic day. Transparent Classroom Benefits:
 Parents see what lessons their child has received and information about that lesson.  It gives concrete ideas on what to ask their child about their school day.
 It gives insight into how to complement their learning at home.
 Parents feel more connected to their child’s overall trajectory.
 It provides a reference point when having discussions with their child’s teacher.  Access is given to their classroom directory for play dates, birthday parties, etc.
Transparent Classroom is an excellent tool for teachers, too! It sheds light on what lesson a child is ready for, tracks their progress, allows them to write notes about successes and challenges, save and share photos, and generates progress reports at the push of a button!
When Will Parents Have Access to Transparent Classroom?
Parents will have access on the first day of school. If you are new to Alden, be sure you check your email for your invitation to join Transparent Classroom.
Will this replace Facebook and Brightwheel?
No. Transparent Classroom is it’s own entity for tracking Montessori lessons.
Facebook is for parents to be able to see all the wonderful activities going on, the children, and that classroom as a whole. It is a wonderful portal for you and your child to view and discuss lessons and friends.
Brightwheel is for attendance, student information, parent communication and billing.
