Our Dedicated Administration
Our dedicated administrative staff members are the heart and soul of our school's daily operations. They skillfully manage the day-to-day running of the school and all our wonderful special events while providing essential support for our teachers, students, and families. With warmth, efficiency, and a deep commitment to our Montessori community, they ensure everything runs smoothly so that our educational environment can thrive. They bring a wealth of experience and a nurturing spirit and help create a seamless and supportive experience for everyone.
Ruth Austin - Director of Operations
Mrs. Austin obtained her Montessori credential in Early Childhood Education in 1998. She has teaching experience in the primary classroom as well as having extensive experience as a Montessori school director. We are proud to say that Mrs. Austin has been with Alden Montessori since 2010! She also has two incredible daughters that had a Montessori education.
Sarah Swartz - Coordinator of Admissions and Student Support
Mrs. Swartz came to Alden Montessori as a parent in 2010 quickly made herself invaluable with her passion and support of Montessori education and quickly became an integral part of our school. With her expertise in learning differences she is committed to helping other parents whoʼs children might need extra support. Her son also enjoyed being a student at Alden.
Kyndal Gude - Special Projects & Director of After Care
Mrs. Gude joined Alden Montessori in 2023 and earned her Montessori credential in 2024. She brings valuable experience to our administration team. Mrs. Gude is deeply passionate about supporting and inspiring both students and parents every single day. She is also a proud parent, and Alden is proud to have her two sons enrolled here at Alden.
Helena Hakaste - Office Support and Substitute Mrs. Hakaste, orignially from Finland, has called Flower Mound home for 30 years. She has worked as an assistant teacher and now enjoys working in the office and substituting when needed. She raised her son and daughter in Montessori
and now has a lovely granddaughter. Mrs. Hakaste has been a valued part of Alden Montessori for over 15 years!
