Common Whipping
This is usually knotted near the end of the rope, and has different variations,
especially when it comes to taking care of the bight. If the end of the rope
has already been melted, it’s just right that you make use of the common
whipping. This also has an almost invisible exit point, which makes it one
of the neatest knots around! However, you have to make sure that none of
the strands unravel because when that happens, the whole knot will be
distorted.

Instructions:
1. Place the twine near the rope by laying it there.
2. Get the long end of the rope and wrap it 8 times around the rope.
3. Once you have reached the 8 turn, go ahead and let the final turn
th
pass through the first bight that you have created.
4. Then, pull the short end of the rope so you could have the long one
secured before trimming the ends off.
