Carrick Bend
One of the most attractive knots around, the Carrick Bend is perfect for
when you want to take hold of items that are lying next to each other
diagonally. This knot is also easy to undo, and is quite reliable, but you
have to make sure that you remember how it was made in the first place—
because you might have a hard time putting it back together. Otherwise, it
definitely is one of the best that you can make!

Instructions:
1. Use one rope to form a loop with the standing end’s tail.
2. Let the other rope pass through the loop, and then let it go over and
under.
3. Now, go and thread the rope’s tail through the loop by letting it
pass through itself.
4. Pull both of the ends up so you could form a knot.
