Narrator 2: The two ran out and Baba, crying with happy tears, bought sweets
from a local vendor and told him the great news. The vendor smiled happily and
ran to tell the others.
Narrator 1: Soon enough, people started coming to their house and started
offering their congratulations and started making garlands of marigolds to give to
Neel. Meanwhile, Neel was being hugged and showered with flowers and sweets.
Narrator 3: He looked back into the woods and saw the long sundari trees. He
thought of the cub, hunting and staying with her mother and brothers or sisters
safely in the reserve. He knew that he did the best thing, for the cub, himself and
his family.
Narrator 1: And Neel was suddenly pulled into a hug by Ajay and Viju, showering
him with garlands.
Ajay and Viju: Well done, Neel! We are so proud of you! We knew you could do it.
Ma: * Praying* Oh, Lord, thank you for this amazing and blissful day! I thank you
for this very much. Thank you, Lord! Please, let my daughter have a bright future
ahead of her too. *Chanting and lighting incense sticks*
Viju: But you will come back to visit us, right?
Ajay: Yeah, will you? It will be boring, going off to Chennai and not helping Dad
but staying in a tent reading or playing with balls sounds a bit boring. It’s fun
having you around.
Neel: I promise! Now, let’s go and eat, I’m starving!
Neel, Ajay and Viju: *Laughing*
